# LinkedIn

> Connect your LinkedIn to Fondaro, reply to leads from their conversation and look up a lead's LinkedIn profile.

Connect your LinkedIn and your messages with leads show on each lead, and you reply from Fondaro. If you manage your agency's company page, its messages arrive for you too. Each person connects their own account.

## Connect your LinkedIn

1. Open **Settings › Me › Inboxes** and choose **Connect LinkedIn** under **Social**.
2. Check the line under **Price** and select **Connect**.
3. Sign in to LinkedIn and confirm it is you if asked.
4. The page reads **Connecting** for a few seconds, then shows your account.

## Message a lead

A lead gets a **LinkedIn** tab on their conversation once their account is linked to them. When someone new writes to you, open the conversation in your [Inbox](https://www.fondaro.com/docs/dashboard/inbox.md) and choose **Add as lead**, or **Link to lead** for a lead you already have. LinkedIn only lets you message people you are connected with.

To fix a message you sent from Fondaro, point at it, select **⋯** and choose **Edit** or **Delete for everyone**. LinkedIn allows both for one hour after sending.

## Look up a lead's profile

On a lead with a linked LinkedIn account, select **Look up** in the lead's rail. It reads their profile once (name, headline, company and location, with a link to the profile). Nothing is saved on its own. LinkedIn allows about 80 look-ups a day.

## Stay within LinkedIn's rules

LinkedIn does not officially support linked business tools, and automated use can get an account restricted. So you send every message yourself, one person at a time, at least 15 seconds apart. Fondaro never sends invitations, follows, likes or searches for you.

## What Fondaro keeps

Your conversations with leads, and messages from people who are not leads yet while you decide. Everything else in your LinkedIn messages is never stored.

## Price and disconnecting

LinkedIn counts as one inbox. See [Inboxes](https://www.fondaro.com/docs/dashboard/integrations/connected-accounts.md#price). To stop, choose **Disconnect** from its row's **⋮** menu. Conversations already on your leads stay.
