M2 Nordic meets Fondaro: a Nordic agency in Marbella, and a website that works 24/7

M2 Nordic is a small Marbella agency founded in 2019 by Robert, who is half Norwegian and half Spanish. Robert calls the website the agency's best salesperson. He and his business partner Jason are rebuilding it in Fondaro, where a change is a chat away and the site, their leads and the phone app sit in one place.

Robert is half Norwegian and half Spanish. About fifteen years ago he swapped Norway's cold and dark for the light of the Costa del Sol, and in 2019 he founded M2 Nordic in Marbella, an agency built on Nordic values for people who want a home on the coast. It is a small agency, so Robert wears every hat. And in his view, the hardest-working member of the team is not a person. It is the website.

Who is M2 Nordic?

Robert took his real estate degree in Norway in 2006. There, he says, being an agent is much like being a lawyer: you need the education to do the work. When he set up M2 Nordic he expected Spain to ask for a degree as well. It didn't, so he took a master's in Spanish property legislation anyway, and opened in 2019, right before COVID. The offices and the team were in place the moment it hit, and M2 Nordic had to let go of both and adapt.

Today M2 Nordic sells homes and new developments along the coast, from Estepona to Benalmádena, and helps its buyers relocate. Robert runs it with his business partner, Jason.

He knows technology better than most agents. He has worked on ad tech and programmatic marketing projects, and would rather do a job himself than wait for a third party to do it. In a small agency, that is most jobs:

You're first and foremost an agent, and then you kind of have to be an IT guy, a marketing guy, an HR guy, you know, everything.

Why does M2 Nordic call its website its best salesperson?

The website is like the foundation. It's like the central piece of the ecosystem. It's our best salesperson in a way. It works 24/7, it doesn't demand a commission and is never sick.

Robert, M2 Nordic

M2 Nordic invested heavily in its website, and a lot of time went into it. For Robert it was never only about how the site looks: "it's about all the functionality, all the CTRs, all the backlinks, the logic, the roadmap, the site map, that everything has a certain logic that it's actually working for the purpose of being well presented. And secondly, and most importantly, generating leads."

For a Nordic agency, that also means speaking the buyer's language. Robert wants M2 Nordic's site in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish as well as English. When he asked for it the usual way, a few days went by, and then came a quote and a timeline for the work.

Why is M2 Nordic moving its website to Fondaro?

In Fondaro, an agency's website is built and changed by chat: you say what you want, see it in a preview, and it goes live when you publish. Robert and Jason tried it for a few days.

These changes that we can do here in Fondaro with a website, we can just have a chat directly with AI and it does it, it implements it in a matter of minutes.

Then they talked it over, and in Robert's words, "we can't see a reason why we shouldn't change". It was not an easy call. A lot had gone into the site they have, and Robert admits it is "a little bit heartbreaking". But he sees it as his job to keep the agency up to date: "we need to jump on it. We need to, if not, we're going to be falling behind."

M2 Nordic's new website is being rebuilt in Fondaro now. Once it is live on their own domain, an enquiry from the site arrives in Fondaro as a lead, next to the rest of their leads, and the team can call it from the browser or the phone app.

Why did M2 Nordic choose Fondaro?

Robert first looked at Fondaro the way he looks at most things, as research into what others are doing. Two things stood out. The first was that "you actually have a local presence here. That's a huge, huge benefit." The second was time.

An agent on the coast, Robert says, works in many different places: a dashboard for the website, the property sites, other software, and then the messages on top. "You go into each and every one of them and then you have all your messaging systems on top of that with emails and WhatsApp. And you know, it's just time consuming." Time he would rather spend with clients, on viewings and at the notary.

He had tried other systems before, and kept going back to doing everything himself. Most asked for a year or two of commitment, a start-up fee and training sessions, so a tool meant to save time ended up taking just as much. What kept him in Fondaro is simpler:

It's intuitive, you know. I come into the system, it's quite easy to understand, it's user friendly. It's just nice to see that it's something that I can just easily, either myself or my business partner Jason, log in to, do the changes that we want to do and go on about our day.

What does Robert think of Fondaro now?

Most systems Robert has tried are very good at one thing, and stop there: they "don't cover what you as an agent actually need from A to B". In Fondaro he can have his website, his leads, and an app where he gets a notification when a lead comes in. It made him ask the question many small agencies ask: does an agency still need a separate tool for each job, when it all sits in one place? M2 Nordic is leaning towards keeping it simple, because "it's what we need as an agent and it's built for agents".

The next thing they are trying is calling their leads from Fondaro. Every call made from Fondaro is recorded, transcribed and summarised on the lead, and that is the part Robert is waiting for:

If I have a conversation with a client, I don't have to take notes, or afterwards rethink the conversation in my head, write it all down and then save it somewhere. It's there automatically after the conversation.

What happens next?

M2 Nordic is one of Fondaro's oldest customers. On their last Fondaro podcast, about a year ago, Robert said he would like to keep Fondaro a secret. He still kind of does. But for another agent, his advice is short:

I would say that it's definitely worth trying this.

We will come back to M2 Nordic when the new website is live.

Questions agencies ask about Fondaro

Can an agency change its website in Fondaro without a developer? Yes. In Fondaro an agency asks for the change in a chat, sees it in a preview and publishes it when it is right. M2 Nordic's Robert puts the time it takes at "a matter of minutes".

Can a Fondaro website be in several languages? Yes. A Fondaro website can carry several languages. M2 Nordic wants its site in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and English, for the Nordic buyers it works with.

Where do the website's enquiries go? Into Fondaro, as leads, next to the agency's other leads, where the team calls them from the browser or the phone app.

Does Fondaro take notes on calls? Every call made from Fondaro is recorded, transcribed and summarised on the lead, so nobody types up a call afterwards.

Does Fondaro's assistant call leads? No. Ask Fondaro drafts and proposes. A person dials every call, from the browser or the phone app, and a person sends every message.

About M2 Nordic

M2 Nordic (written M²Nordic) is a real estate agency in Marbella, founded in 2019 by Robert, with Nordic values and a team that guides buyers through every step of buying on the Costa del Sol, relocation included. It sells homes and new developments from Estepona to Benalmádena, and for every sale it makes a donation to a charity of the client's choice. Office: Avenida Ricardo Soriano 21, 29601 Marbella. Website: www.m2nordic.com.

Everything Robert says here is from his conversation with Alexander on the Fondaro podcast, recorded on 5 November 2026. M2 Nordic's new website is being built in Fondaro and is not live yet.

“It's actually the first platform that I feel covers multi-angles. If I can have my website there, I can have my leads there, I can have an app where I get notifications when a lead comes in, in real time.”
