Keyboard Shortcuts

Work the CRM without the mouse: move through a list, peek a lead, change a status, and go anywhere with G.

Fondaro is built so a full day of lead work can happen from the keyboard. Single keys do the things you do fifty times a day, G then a letter takes you somewhere, and modifiers are reserved for the handful of shortcuts that work from anywhere.

Press ? at any time to see the shortcuts that are live on the screen you are on. Anything that screen cannot do is dimmed rather than hidden, so the sheet is always the truth about where you are.

Every shortcut is also a command in the command palette (⌘K / Ctrl K), and every menu item and button that owns a key prints it, so you never have to memorise this page.

Typing always wins. In any text box, in the document editor and in the Ask composer, letters are just letters. The single-letter shortcuts below stand down until you leave the field.

Anywhere

KeysWhat it does
⌘K / Ctrl KOpen the command palette
⌘B / Ctrl BShow or hide the sidebar
⌘⇧M / Ctrl Shift MOpen or close Messages beside the page
⌘. / Ctrl .Open or close Ask
?Open the keyboard shortcuts sheet
/Put the cursor in the current view's search
CCreate what this page creates

We use ⌘. / Ctrl . for Ask rather than ⌘J / Ctrl J. Ctrl J is the Downloads shortcut in Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows and Linux, and a web page can only take it back while it has the keyboard, so it would work most of the time and open Downloads the rest. . is not spoken for in any browser we support.

/ and C belong to the page you are on, so they work where that page has a search box or something to create. On Deals, / jumps to the deal search and C opens New deal.

Going places

Press G, let go, then press the second key. You have one second.

KeysWhere it goes
G HHome
G LThe first Leads view in your sidebar
G AAll leads
G DDeals
G CCalls
G TTasks
G MMessages
G PProperties
G RReports
G SOrganisation settings
G 1 to G 9The first to ninth Leads view in your sidebar

G 1 to G 9 follow your sidebar. If you have reordered or renamed your lead views, the numbers follow what you see, top to bottom.

G D and D do not collide. While G is waiting for its second key, that key can only finish a G shortcut, so G D is always Deals. Pressed on its own, D calls the lead you are on.

In a list

These work on any lead list: a status page, Unassigned, and the lead lists inside a saved view.

KeysWhat it does
J / K, / Move down and up the rows
EnterOpen the lead's full page
SpacePeek the lead beside the list
XSelect or deselect the row
⇧J / ⇧KExtend the selection down or up
⌘A / Ctrl ASelect every row on this page
EscClear the selection
SChange status
AAssign
LEdit tags
DCall the lead from your browser
⌘⌫ / Ctrl BackspaceDelete, through the usual confirmation
[ / ]Previous and next page

S and A apply to your whole selection when you have one, and to the row you are on when you do not. L always edits the tags on the row you are on, because tags are changed one lead at a time.

D opens the calling panel in your browser and dials from there. Fondaro AI never places calls. See Calling.

Space and Enter step aside when the cursor is already on a checkbox or a button inside the row, so those keys keep pressing what you have focused.

While a power dial run is in progress the list shortcuts are switched off, so a stray key cannot change a status in the middle of a conversation.

The Calls and Tasks lists answer J, K, Enter and [ / ]. Enter there opens the lead behind the call or the task.

In a peek, and on a lead page

KeysWhat it does
J / KNext and previous lead
EnterOpen the full page (from a peek)
EscClose the peek, or go back to the list
SChange status
AAssign
LEdit tags
NAdd a note
TAdd a task
EWrite an email
DCall from your browser
⌘⇧C / Ctrl Shift CCopy the phone number

J and K walk the whole filtered list, not just the page the lead was opened from, and Fondaro loads the next page as you approach the end of it.

The same keys work in every pane that opens beside a list: a property from the listings grid or the map, a brochure from the brochures table, and a document from the sidebar (Enter opens it in full, Esc closes it). On a property grid, J / K move between the cards and Space opens the focused one.

Coming back with Esc restores where you were: the page, the scroll position, the row you were on and anything you had selected.

N, T, E and D follow whether the lead can do them. A lead with no email address, or a workspace that has not set up sending, has no E, and the sheet dims it.

On a board

The All leads board and the Deals board share these.

KeysWhat it does
J / K, / Move between cards in a column
/ Move between columns
SpacePeek the lead
EnterOpen (the lead's page, or the deal)
MMove to another column
S / AChange status, assign (All leads)

M is the keyboard version of dragging a card. It offers the same columns a drag would accept, and a move it would refuse is refused here too with the same explanation.

There is no H / L pair for moving left and right, because L is tags everywhere else and one letter should not mean two things.

Triage without the mouse

A whole pass over a status page, start to finish:

  1. G L to land on your first lead view.
  2. J a few times to reach the lead you want.
  3. Space to peek it. The peek follows you: keep pressing J and it moves with you.
  4. S to change status. The palette opens on the status list, J / K or the arrows pick one, Enter applies it.
  5. N to write a note.
  6. Esc to close the peek and carry on down the list.
