Working with other agencies
Follow and message agents at other agencies, partner with agencies, ask for homes for your buyers, and offer homes to theirs.
Fondaro connects the agencies that use it. There is no separate page for them: every home, buyer request and open house from another agency shows the agent behind it, and their name opens who they are beside your work. This page covers what you can do together.
The first time you post anything to other agencies (a follow, a partnership, a request, a group), Fondaro asks you to accept the network terms.
Follow or message an agent
Click an agent's name or face anywhere to open them. You get two buttons:
- Follow keeps them in your list. They are not told. Press Following to stop.
- Message opens a conversation beside your work. Nothing is sent until you write. Your first message to someone new is a message request; once they accept, you are connected.
In Search, Agencies you follow under Whose homes shows the homes of the agencies you follow and of the agents you follow.
To find someone by name, use New message in your Inbox and look under Other agencies, or type their name in the command palette.
Partner with an agency
Partners are agencies you agreed to work with. Both see a Partner mark on each other's names and listings, and Partners under Whose homes in Search shows only their homes.
Admins manage partners from the Partners group in your own agency's glance (click your agency's name anywhere):
- Under Ask an agency, paste the agency's page address (for example
costa-homes) or a link to its page. In another agency's glance you can also press Ask to partner. - They Accept or Decline. Requests waiting on you show with the same two buttons.
End stops a partnership; you can ask again later.
Ask other agencies for a home
When your buyer wants a home you do not have, post a buyer request. Agencies on Fondaro see the criteria (buy or rent, up to five places, types, bedrooms, a price range) and can offer you a home. Your buyer's name and details are never shared.
- Press Ask other agencies from one of these:
- the end of Search's results, filled in from your search;
- a lead's ... menu, filled in from what the lead wants;
- My listings › Requests;
- the offer after a call where the buyer described what they want.
- Check the criteria and press Post request.
A request stays open for 30 days, and you are told when a newly listed or re-priced home fits. Replies arrive in your Inbox. Your requests are listed on My listings › Requests, where Close ends one. You can post 10 requests a day (3 a day in your first week).
Offer a home to another agency's buyer
Other agencies' requests reach you where they are useful:
- In Search: a line such as "2 agents are looking for homes here".
- On your homes: Requests this answers in a home's glance.
- On a person: their Looking for list.
- In your Inbox: when a request fits one of your listings.
Open a request and press Offer a home. A conversation with that agent opens, with the request (and the home, if you came from one) ready to send. Not for me hides the request.
Start a group across agencies
- In your Inbox, press the pencil and choose Create channel, then Across agencies.
- Name the group and pick people: colleagues, agents at partner agencies, and people at other agencies you already message with.
Invited people see a request and read nothing until they press Join group. Only the group's creator invites more people or removes someone. You can invite up to 20 people at other agencies a day (5 in your first week).
Viewings and deals with other agencies
An agent from another agency is kept as a collaborator lead, with their agency in Company. On a viewing, pick them as Sent by. On a deal, add them with Add outside agent: their share is paid from the total commission, and they never become the deal's owner. See Viewings and co-listers and Deals.
Report or block someone
In a person's or agency's glance, the ... menu has Report and Block. Fondaro reviews every report, and the person is not told who reported them. Blocking stops messages both ways at once. Settings › Me › Blocked people lists everyone you blocked, with Unblock.
