Map Search (Idealista)

Draw an area or set a radius on the map and see every Idealista listing inside it, then contact the listing agency directly.

Map Search (Idealista)

Idealista is a map-first property source. Where the other sources give you a grid of listings, Idealista gives you a map you can draw on, with the matching homes as a card list beside it: outline any neighbourhood or drop a radius around a point, and every for-sale (or to-let) listing inside that shape appears both as a pin on the map and as a card on the right.

It is free for your organization, with no setup. Select Idealista from the source dropdown on the Properties page and the surface switches to the split map and results view.

Searching an area

The area you search is always a shape you draw on purpose. Two tools sit over the top-left corner of the map:

  • Draw: sketch a polygon around exactly the streets you care about. Click to add points, then double-click to finish.
  • Radius: drop a circle on a point and drag to set the radius.

When you finish a shape, a Search this area button appears over the map. Press it to run the search. Nothing is fetched until you do, so you stay in control. Clear area (in the filter bar) removes the shape and starts over.

You can also type a place name in the search box at the top of the page (city, neighbourhood, or postcode). Pick a suggestion and the map recentres on it and searches straight away. A place search is the only one that can also sort and filter by amenity on the server.

Filtering

The filter controls live in the page header, the same place every other source keeps them:

  • For sale / For rent
  • Price and size ranges
  • Bedrooms (studio through 4+)
  • Property type (flat, penthouse, duplex, house, and more)
  • Amenities: pool, terrace, air con, garden, parking, lift, exterior

Changing price, size, bedrooms, or type re-runs the search for the current shape. On a drawn or radius search, amenities refine the homes already on screen instantly with no waiting; on a place search they filter on the server.

Map, cards, and detail

  • Pins cluster as you zoom out and show the price as you zoom in.
  • The results column on the right shows the homes as cards, two across, synced to the map: hover a card to highlight its pin, hover a pin to bring its card into view.
  • The header shows how many homes match in the area. Because an area can hold thousands, results come a page at a time: use Prev and Next to page through, and the map's pins move with the cards. If a shape holds a lot, draw a smaller area or add filters to narrow it down.
  • Open the full listing two ways: click a card, or select a pin and press View details in its popup. The detail view (photos, energy rating, description, community costs) is the same one every other source uses, with a View on Idealista link to the original listing.

Building brochures

Idealista cards work like every other source in the brochure builder. Hover a card and tick the selection box in its corner to add the listing to your selection; the action bar at the bottom shows the running count. From there, Create brochure opens the builder with your picks, or Save to existing appends them to a brochure you already have. When the brochure is created, Fondaro pulls the full listing from Idealista and snapshots it (photos, price, location, and key facts) so the brochure stands on its own even if the listing later changes upstream.

Contacting the agency

Every Idealista listing belongs to an external agency. The agency name shows on each card, in the pin popup, and in the detail view; select it to open the agency profile: phone, email, website, the languages they speak, how long they have been active, and the areas they cover. The phone number is one tap to call.

Idealista listings are not imported into your own catalogue, so the primary action is always to contact the listing agency directly, but you can still snapshot any listing into a brochure as described above.
