Billing

See what you've used this period, what you'll be charged, and your payment details.

Overview

The billing page is one scroll, top to bottom. The header gives the plan summary and a primary Add funds action. Below sit three usage tiles for the metered services, then your billing details, then a flat history of every invoice.

Page layout

  • Plan card shows your current plan (Lead Plan, Platform, Trial, or Free), the price line, and inline actions to Explore plans or Manage the plan you're on. Cancelling? You get a Cancel plan link here too.
  • Usage tiles show three meters for Autopilot, Calling, and Lead delivery. Each one displays what you've spent this period over the monthly cap you set, with a progress bar and a Manage link that jumps to that service's settings.
  • Billing details has two cards side-by-side: an Address card with your billing email, company name, address, and VAT number, and a Payment card listing your saved cards.
  • History is every Stripe invoice with reference, total incl. tax, date, status, and a download link.

How usage is billed

Fondaro uses Stripe to meter three things:

  • AI agent sessions — billed per minute of active use, in cents.
  • Voice calling — billed per call minute, plus a small monthly rental for each phone number.
  • Lead delivery — billed per lead, only on Lead Group plans.

Costs accrue continuously as you use the product. You're charged either at the end of each billing cycle, or when your accrued usage hits your tab limit, whichever comes first. Whatever you've used so far in the period is always visible at the top of the page.

Tab limit (billing threshold)

Your tab limit is a per-cycle exposure cap. Think of it as how much can pile up on your tab before Stripe rings it up mid-cycle and charges your card. Once a charge succeeds, your tab is cleared and the cycle continues.

New accounts start at $20. Each successful payment moves you up the ladder:

StateTab limit
New account$20
After 1st successful payment$50
After 2nd$150
After several clean cycles$500
Stable / verified$1,000

A failed payment snaps you back to $20 until you pay successfully again. The tab limit is system-managed — you don't change it from the dashboard.

Plan-included usage

There is none. Every plan, including the $99/seat plan, has zero bundled AI minutes, call minutes, or leads. The only thing your plan includes is your member or seat limit. AI, calling, and lead delivery are 100% metered on top of every plan.

This keeps the model simple: one rate per meter, no plan-specific allowances to keep track of.

Monthly caps

Each usage tile (Autopilot, Calling, Lead delivery) has an inline editable monthly cap. Click the value, type an amount, hit enter. When usage hits the cap, the relevant feature pauses for the remainder of the month and resumes the following cycle.

Caps are hard stops, not just alerts. Leave one blank to remove the limit.

Payment methods

Use the + icon on the Payment card to attach a new card, or the pencil icon on the Address card to update your company info. Stripe handles all card data and runs Smart Retries on any failed charges automatically.

If a monthly invoice fails to clear:

  • After 2 consecutive failures, your lead-group subscriptions are paused.
  • After 3 consecutive failures, those subscriptions are cancelled.

When this happens you'll get an email titled Payment failed. Action required. with the amount, the reason, and a link to settle. A red banner also appears at the top of every dashboard page reading Payment failed. {amount} outstanding with a Settle now button.

The banner jumps to the Outstanding invoices section at the top of the billing page, listing each unpaid invoice with a Pay now button that charges your default card on the spot. If your card needs 3D Secure confirmation Stripe will prompt for it inline. If you have no card on file, the button switches to Open in Stripe so you can add a card there.

Once the payment lands, the banner clears, your lead-group subscriptions reactivate, and you get a Payment received confirmation email.

Invoices and receipts

Every charge (period-end invoices and mid-cycle tab charges alike) appears in the History section at the bottom of the billing page. Click the download icon on a row to grab the PDF, or use the external-link icon to open the hosted Stripe invoice.

Credits (when applicable)

If you were on Fondaro before we moved to metered billing, your remaining account balance was converted to a Stripe credit when we migrated you. This credit applies automatically to your next metered charges before your card is touched. You'll see it on the billing page until it runs out.

If we ever offer an annual prepay discount, the prepaid amount works the same way: it lands as a credit and burns down against your usage before your card is charged.

14-day free trial

New accounts start with a 14-day free trial of the Platform plan. The trial banner above your dashboard nav offers a one-click Start free trial action that opens a card form. We collect a card up front so Stripe can transition you to the paid plan automatically when the trial ends — you won't lose access in between.

A trial gives you:

  • Full Platform access for 14 days (CRM, Autopilot, calling, website, communications).
  • $10 of included credit for AI + calling usage that burns ahead of any prepaid balance you add.
  • No charge today. Your card is invoiced on day 14 for the seat fee plus any metered overage above the $10 credit.

You can cancel any time from Billing before the trial converts. The trial credit stays on your account until it expires (24 hours after the trial end), so it still applies if you re-subscribe within that window.

Trial accounts cannot subscribe to Lead Plans — you need to be on a paid Platform plan or upgrade out of trial first. Everything else works exactly like a paying account.

Add funds

The Add funds button at the top right of the billing page lets you prepay credit any time. Pick an amount between $10 and $5,000 in your billing currency, confirm with your saved card, and Stripe creates a paid invoice plus a 3-month credit grant on the spot. The grant applies to your next metered charges before your card is touched again. You'll get a payment-received email with a link to the hosted invoice.

Your available credit balance appears next to the Add funds button as long as you have any.

Credits added this way are consumed before any migration credits you might still hold (user-paid credit drains at higher priority). The full receipt is in Manage billing alongside your other invoices.

Common questions

Why was I charged mid-month? Your accrued usage hit your tab limit, so Stripe rang up the tab and charged your card. Your usage continues uninterrupted; the cycle simply resets.

Where did my balance go? If you were on the old prepaid system, your unspent balance was converted to a Stripe credit grant. The current balance shows next to the Add funds button, and the grant applies to your next metered charges automatically.

Can I prepay for usage? Yes. Use the Add funds card on the billing page to drop $10–$5,000 of credit on your account. The grant expires three months after it's issued and drains before any older migration credits. For larger annual prepay deals, reach out to sales.
