Publish to JamesEdition

Opt a listing into the JamesEdition feed so it shows up on the luxury real-estate marketplace.

JamesEdition is a global luxury real-estate marketplace. We ship an XML feed that JamesEdition pulls on a fixed schedule, and listings you opt in appear in their catalogue.

The toggle on Step 3 (Publish)

On the final step of the create or edit flow, you'll see a Publish to JamesEdition switch just above the submit button. Turn it on to include this listing in the feed. Turn it off to leave it out.

The switch is disabled if the property type is not one JamesEdition supports. A short note below the switch tells you when that's the case.

Pull schedule

JamesEdition's crawler fetches our feed three times a day, at roughly 00:11, 08:11, and 16:11 UTC. New listings you turn the toggle on for will show up in their catalogue within a few hours of the next pull. There's no "send now" button on our side; the feed is always current, and JamesEdition reads it on their schedule.

Supported property types

The toggle is available for these 13 property types:

  • Apartment
  • Penthouse
  • Villa
  • House Detached
  • House Semi Detached
  • Townhouse
  • Bungalow
  • Chalet
  • Finca
  • Country House
  • Estate
  • Castle
  • Land

Office and Commercial types are not supported by JamesEdition. The toggle is disabled for those types, and even if a listing somehow has the flag set, the feed filters it out.

Status rules

Only listings with status Active go out in the feed. Listings that are Inactive, Pending, Sold, or Rented are skipped.

When you mark a listing as Sold, it drops from the next scheduled feed pull automatically. There's nothing extra for you to do.

Confirming the listing went out

We don't push directly to JamesEdition's catalogue. They pull from us. To confirm a listing went live:

  1. Turn the toggle on and submit the listing.
  2. Wait for the next scheduled pull (the next one of 00:11, 08:11, or 16:11 UTC).
  3. Allow a few hours for JamesEdition to process the feed and publish the listing on their side.
  4. Check JamesEdition's catalogue for your property.

If a listing doesn't appear after a couple of crawl cycles, double-check that the listing is Active, that the toggle is on in the edit flow, and that the property type is in the supported list above.

What happens when you flip the toggle off

If you switch Publish to JamesEdition off and save, the listing disappears from the next feed pull. JamesEdition's catalogue updates on their next crawl.
