Instagram

Overview

Connect your Instagram and direct messages from your leads appear on each lead, replies to your stories arrive with the story they answer, and you reply from the lead page. Each person connects their own account from Settings › Me › Inboxes, under Social.

Connect your Instagram

Open Settings › Me › Inboxes and select Connect Instagram.
Check the line under Price, then select Connect.
In the window that opens, sign in to Instagram. If Instagram asks you to confirm it is you, do that in the Instagram app and come back.
The page reads Connecting for a few seconds, then shows your account as connected.

A plain word about Instagram's rules

Instagram does not officially support linked business tools, and heavy or automated use can lock an account. So in Fondaro you send every message yourself, one person at a time, at least 10 seconds apart and within Instagram's hourly limit. Nothing is sent on a schedule or in bulk, and Fondaro never follows, likes or comments for you.

Messaging a lead

A lead gets an Instagram segment on the lead page once their Instagram account is linked to them. You link it from the conversation: when someone new writes to you about a home, choose Add as lead or Link to lead for a lead you already have. From then on their messages land on that lead and you can reply from the lead page.

Look up

On a lead with a linked Instagram business account, Look up in the lead's rail reads their public business profile once: name, category, and a public email or phone when they list one. Nothing is saved on its own; you can add a public email or phone to the lead with one press. Each press is one read, and Instagram limits how many you can do in an hour.

What Fondaro keeps

Fondaro keeps your conversations with leads and new enquiries about a home. Everything else in your direct messages is never stored.

Price and disconnecting

Instagram counts as one connected inbox. See Billing. Select Disconnect on the Instagram page to stop; conversations already on your leads stay.
