Build your website with Fondaro AI
Describe a website change, approve one builder turn, review the real preview, and publish when it is ready.
The Website workspace keeps your current preview at the centre of the page and opens the existing Ask Fondaro dock beside it on desktop. On a phone, the preview stays visible until you open it yourself.
There is no separate website chat. Your request, approval, and progress all stay in the same Ask Fondaro conversation you use elsewhere in Fondaro.
Draft, live site and updates
Your website has two copies.
The live site is what visitors see. The draft is where you and Fondaro try changes. Nothing you do in the draft touches the live site until you press Publish.
One strip under the preview, the version rail, always tells you which of those two you are looking at and what you can do about it:
- Live means the draft matches the live site. There is nothing waiting.
- Unpublished changes lists the parts of the site your draft touches, such as the homepage, your website text, or colours and style. Publish puts them on the live site.
- Publishing appears while the live version is being built. It takes a minute or two.
- Your draft has a problem means the draft did not build. Your live site is untouched. Ask Fondaro AI to fix it, or throw the draft away.
- Design update in progress means an update to your website design is half applied. Continue it whenever you are ready.
Don't like the draft? Throw it away and the draft becomes a fresh copy of your live site. The confirmation tells you exactly what disappears, including a design update in progress, and your live site is never affected by it. Throwing away is on the rail in every state that has something to throw away, and in the rail's ⋯ menu the rest of the time.
When Fondaro improves your website design, you get an Update. If you edited the same things the update changes, Fondaro combines them for you rather than refusing to continue. Starting an update never publishes anything by itself.
If an update cannot be published, choose Start over and update. After you confirm, Fondaro makes the draft a clean copy of your live site and applies the update again. The unpublished changes named in the confirmation are lost, but your live site is never touched.
Choose the property data source
Open Settings in the Website workspace to choose where your site's property listings come from. A source switch takes effect on the next visitor request and does not rebuild or republish your website.
Idealista serves live portal inventory for the market you configure. In the Idealista row:
- Choose Spain, Italy, or Portugal.
- Search for and add up to three market areas.
- Choose Save and unlock Idealista.
- Choose Select source on the Idealista row.
The configured row closes to a compact country and area summary. You can edit the market at any time or remove all its areas. If Idealista is unavailable, including after its areas are removed, your website continues to show Fondaro MLS listings until the source is available again.
Ask for a change
Describe the result you want in ordinary language. Fondaro AI can help an organization admin:
- make the starter site match the agency's current brand;
- change copy, layout, or styling;
- create static marketing pages, including nested service or location pages;
- add website languages; or
- repair a failed preview deployment.
Fondaro AI can read the current website and preview state first and ask a clarifying question when the request is not specific enough. Opening the workspace or choosing a starter never starts paid builder work by itself.
Using your own images
Attach photos or graphics to your message with the paperclip in the Ask Fondaro composer and say what each one is for, for example "use the first photo as the hero". When you approve a change request, Fondaro converts every attached image to a web-sized WebP, stores it in your website's own media space, and hands it to the builder, which places it in the site. Camera originals and screenshots are fine: the builder never receives the raw file.
Staff can also attach short videos (MP4, WebM or MOV, up to 200 MB) from the admin Website tab. Videos are stored as uploaded and the builder places them with a <video> element; say whether you want it to autoplay silently as a background or play with controls.
Review and build the preview
When the request is ready, Fondaro AI presents a website proposal card. Check the exact summary and choose Build preview to approve one metered website-builder turn. Rejecting the card makes no repository, deployment, or builder-usage change.
Approval returns immediately. A compact work card follows the durable job through preparing, editing, imagery, review setup, and preview building. You can close the dock, refresh the page, or leave the dashboard while it runs. Returning to the Website workspace restores the current safe status without showing the builder's private transcript, commands, or internal tools.
Only organization admins can read website state or approve website work through Fondaro AI. Fondaro checks the current role, entitlement, AI budget, preview baseline, and whether another website turn is already active again at approval time.
Preview is the proof
A builder turn is not marked ready just because editing stopped. Fondaro waits for the authoritative preview deployment. The existing preview pane refreshes as that deployment changes, and technical deployment detail remains there instead of turning the conversation into a log viewer.
If a safe error appears, ask Fondaro AI to fix the preview or prepare a new request after correcting the reported condition.
Custom marketing pages use lowercase, readable URL paths and are added to the site's multilingual sitemap automatically. The property search, blog, API routes, layouts, and deployment configuration remain protected platform features.
Template updates keep your draft
When a design update is available, Fondaro validates the complete release and applies its added, changed, renamed, and removed files to your draft together. A required companion file or a broken link between files stops the update before your draft changes. Unpublished work in your draft never blocks an update: Fondaro applies the update on top of what the draft already holds, and reopening or retrying simply carries on from wherever it got to. Where your changes and the update touched the same places, you choose what happens to those, and nothing goes live until you publish.
Publishing stays manual
Fondaro AI and the website builder never publish the preview. Review the real site in the preview pane, then use the existing Publish control in the Website workspace when it is right. That remains the only action that changes the production website.
Fondaro checks whether the current draft is publishable before enabling that action. If it cannot read your website files or finds a change to a locked part of the site, the rail explains it in plain words and shows the exit on the same strip: try again, ask Fondaro AI to repair the draft, or throw the draft away to return to your live site.
Publish is complete only when the live version has finished building. While it is queued or building, the version rail keeps showing publishing progress. If the build fails, the rail says so, tells you that visitors still see the previous version, and offers Fix with Fondaro AI and Try again. A failed design update stays pending and is not recorded as installed until a retry is actually live.
